Fuck Stonehenge
I was looking at CNN.com today to get my daily fix of ridiculous news, and in looking at the names of the articles, in order, I remembered why I don't read the news very often. One of the stories was how experts solved the mystery of stonehenge. They didn't discover how they were able to make it thousands of years ago, but they did figure out, more or less, WHY it was built. This, to me, seems like a pretty big deal. I will now list for you the stories that were listed above this one, in other words, the ones CNN deemed more important. First off, 18 stories about gas prices and how they will spell the end of live as we know it on planet earth. Then, a story about a beach volleyball player who now dances. Finally, a story about a woman who bikes in the nude for some reason, and the cops saying that it's not illegal because she's not trying to arouse people, or something. These stories don't strike me as quite as important as a SEVERAL THOUSAND YEAR OLD MYSTERY.
Seriously? If people don't know gas went up by now, then I'm pretty sure they won't ever fucking know, because they are either in a coma, or retarded to the point of not understanding basic words or concepts. Oh yeah, and they also wrote a story about someone who saw Jesus' image in a stain on a crappy cork ceiling tile in some run down fat lady gym in Kansas. This was also more important than unlocking the secrets of a lost civilization. Not to mention the emergency report involving the status of production of high heels for babies. That's right, high heels for babies. I never thought I'd have to call a girl under the age of 4 a slut, but thanks to a company known by the name Heelarious, no girl is safe.
Paul and I decided on a name for our face-melting dueling acoustic thrash metal band, Evolving Force. I am actually in the process of building a site for the band, although as of right now it's basically a logo and a line of text. You can check it out here if that's the kind of thing you think you might be into. It's gonna get updated hard and fast, but right now it's just a placeholder. I've also been messing around with some photo editing and whatnot, and came up with a desktop background that you should definitely use right here.
